27.05.2005 - A guest on national television
Tepoztlan, Morelos, Mexico
The last days were full of surprises and big turnarounds. Today morning I woke up in the city of Tepoztlan on the south of Mexico in different bed as I was used to in the last month and had breakfast with different faces.

WILL I BE A POET?
BACK TO THE FAMILY
ONE WORLD IS READY
A week ago I decided to present ONE WORLD to the public and I wrote an official presentation of the project. I decided to ask for help university of Mexico - UNAM. People told me that UNAM receives thousands of requests for projects and that chances that they accept me are minimal. This is why the surprise was so much bigger, when they told me the day before yesterday that they accepted my project and want to see me in person. I met an important person on the university and he told me, that he and the rector of the University are fascinated over the project and that the UNAM will officially support my efforts.
The UNAM is,
with more than 200 thousands students, the biggest and most respected university in Latin America. The complex of UNAM is like a city inside of the city. I couldn't be happier than having a sponsor like this.
I decided to give series of speeches to the students and professors and to organize a press conference for Mexican and world media. I admit I feel insecure about doing this, since I have never spoken to such a large group of people and even less organize a press conference. We will see - I am sure it will be lots of fun!😊
You can see the documents of the presentation and an article about me in the base of documents on www.streamload.com/matsed.
ON THE ROAD WITH NATIONAL TELEVISION
A day after the visit on the university, the crew of one of the most popular national televisions in Mexico - TV Azteca - knocked on the door of the house of my Mexican family, ready to take them for a walk around Mexico. So, I and one famous Mexican reporter went on the road hitchhike towards unknown, without money - of course.
Today at 9 pm we will be on the
news and I believe that many viewers will think that this spectacle was prepared in advance. But it wasn't!
I met one of the most amazing people on my journey, they opened themselves in front of the camera and told us the most amazing life stories and explained why they stopped us. On the street, they gave us free food, taxi drivers and bus drivers drove us around for free, two students went 50 km out of their way, we ended up without gas and with no money and then gather money from people for the gas and when we arrived in Tepoztlàn we found a family who accepted me in their house and gave me a place to sleep in 20 minutes.
During the whole shooting, all people helped us without knowing that we are doing a report for television.
"I experienced many things, but never something that crazy," admitted me the reporter.
More than anything else, I am happy that I can show to tens of millions of Mexicans how easily we can turn complete strangers into friends.
WILL I BE A POET?
Tania opened me many worlds in the last month - among others, the words of poetry. Poetry never really interested me before, but with her enthusiastic way of narrating and explaining she woke up a passion over Mexican and Argentinean poetry.
I remember writing my first two simple poems when I was seven and presented them to the whole primary school, but I never really tried again.
So, after the visit on the university, came on my mind to write my first poem in Spanish… for Tania. Her surprised look and then a smile and embrace showed me that it was a good beginning.😊
BACK TO THE FAMILY
When I finish these lines, I depart to have a meditation on a pyramid called Tepozteco. I have been told that it's an amazing energy field there. Afterwards, I will use my thumb again to go back to Mexico City, where Tania already expects new stories.
Before we left the house I had to say few honest words in front of the television camera:
"I met this girl by "coincidence" on the concert of Santana in the center of the city and asked her if I can sleep at her place for one night… Well, I am staying here now for more than a month and never on this journey had I felt so at home."
"Yes, and I let him into the house with a small lie - I told to my people that he is a tango dancer from Slovenia on a student-exchange," Tania interrupted me and made the reporters laugh.
"I slept in many houses in the last 10 months and I have to say they all took well care for me, but I have never experienced something like I experience here. Not for a moment, I felt neither being a stranger nor being a guest. From the very beginning mom Leti showed me with words and deeds that I am no more and no less than her own children."
"Yes, ha-ha, this is my son from Slovenia," said Leticia with her usual sweet voice and big smile and embraced me.
"This is a house with incredible positive energy. In the last months and a half I laughed more than in other 9 months together. And all the family members breath with me and with my dreams about ONE WORLD," I finished.
I still plan to continue my journey to Japan, even though I found out that it is easier hitchhiking cars than planes. But I don't worry. I believe that when I finish my mission in Mexico and when I and Japan will be ready, I will get a plane ticket to Tokyo by other "mysterious coincidence".
I love you,
