The Church of the Carmelitas (barefoot nuns) is located one block from the Cathedral on Balvanera y Ocampo
 The former college, located at Balvanera 4 behind the City Museum on Guerrero, is now the Hotel Quinta Santiago.

The church is now a diocese Church of Perpetual Adoration (open 24 hours).

The order’s first modest chapel was built in 1750.  The nuns then established a college for the education of girls in 1791.  Construction of the church & convent was completed by 1802.
