This album features photos taken from the mirador (scenic viewpoint) overlooking Queretaro's wonderful aqueduct. Also located here is the large Panteon (cemetery) of Illustrious Queretanos. Don José Germán Patiño Díaz was a great painter, draftsman, photographer, writer and restaurateur who helped establish the Regional Museum of Querétaro & promoted the first cultural groups in the region. He saved and sheltered part of this cultural heritage during the armed struggle of 1910.

was the first priest of the city’s parish of Santa Ana. This remarkable man of his time is considered the Father of the state of Querétaro. His statue was inaugurated on February 5, 1989.

Mirador
Love these pictures! The Mirador reminds me of the Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence. Love the panoramic view, especially of the aqueduct. :)
