This blog by Jacqui:

....so we all know that Carolyn and Tom met us in rock-star style at Villa Del Sol (see previous journal entry)... therefore, our departure for Troncones was delayed somewhat but we arrive to La Canalita, our awesome tranquil bungalow, for sunset and dinner at Huachinango's. We explore the local beaches around Troncones, I get my first surfing lesson from surfing maestro Thomas on a soft long board. We paddle out into the BIG choppy surf and I ride one wave on stomach (yeah!), miss a few more and then plunge vertically down the face of a 4 foot (felt like 10 feet!) wave almost to my death... decide to call it a day... Tom stays out but finds better waves in Nexpa as Troncones beach is choppy and the undertow is too strong for casual swimming...

Recommendation's in Troncones:
El Burro Burracho and Huachinango's are great for food and beer
