Arrive to the 'W' hotel in Mexico city - a treat! Mexico city feels very european - small european cars, odd eating times and no street parking at any time of day. Lucas doesn't have to hunt for long to find his favorite Taco spot - Tacos Del Rey - a packed locals lunch spot with carnitas, bistec and pollo asado tacos for $1 each with incredible self-serve taco condiment bar. We find ourselves eating here for at least 3 out of as many meals we have in the city. Having only 2 days we achieve an unplanned walking tour of the park south of our hotel where we discover the botanical gardens and Mexico City Zoo. We spend 3 hours looking at exotic animals from around the world - the best zoo we have ever been to, and free! Highly recommended.
