Back home sitting in the sunshine watching the shadows on the snow marvelling at how beautiful it is at -26C ...I do like it and have the clothes to deal with it . SO MUCH better than the balmy mild CLOUDY ,CLOUDY , CLOUDY depressing days of January . At least one can dress for this weather and soak up enough solar energy to function with a smile . Built in 1709 but damaged by earthquakes and sinking into the earth . Closed for 20years while they attempted to stabalize it ... reopenned in 2000 . It was strange walking inside as the floor is almost wavy and I felt unbalanced

Huge!! 3 centuries in the building 1525-1813 .It is the largest colonial cathedral in the Western Hemisphere . It is stunning . The hostel I stayed at is across the street .
