San Felipe

We spent the morning in San Felipe for a much needed day of rest. The morning was shopping and playing in the water. It was nice, but San Felipe is even hotter than Valle. We had an absolutely wonderful lunch at a friend of Carmen Velasquez's. After lunch we relaxed for a while and then everybody chose to go back to El Oasis to spend some more time with the kids. When we arrived at El Oasis, the kids were waiting with filled water balloons and we were doused again. We had time to say some tough good-byes to the kids. Some of the kids invited youth to their homes for dinner. Mario invited some of the workers to share a birthday cake for his wife. We will see the kids leave for school on the bus for the last time tomorrow morning.
