Well we were very lucky to get this day trip to mexico. We called up the company when we were at the zoo yesterday and they said they were all booked out. When we got home last night we looked up some websites on the internet and found a telephone number for last minute bookings. This time they said that they cancelled the tour because there weren't enough customers. We told them that there was 6 of us going, and that was enough to convince them to take us. So in the end we got an exclusive trip to Ensenada, Mexico. It was so strange, as soon as you cross the border everything changes. Road signs are in spanish, Streets are dirty, the whole look of the place is different. We travelled along the border fence for a while to the bullring. Bullfighting is held there every sunday afternoon. Its a traditional Sport in spain and doesn't end until the bull is dead. Very horrible!! After we saw the arena we got back on our exclusive bus and headed down the coast to Rosarito. We stayed here for about an hour, just enough time to have a look at the beach and a walk down the pier. Then it was off to Ensenada. We made another short stop at El Matidor just to have a look at the look-out which was on once of the cliffs, it offered some of the most amazing views of the Mexican coastline. Once we arrived in Ensenada we first had a 3 course lunch at a mexican restaurant then did some shopping down the main strip of Ensenada. Some of the things you see are incredible. Discount pharmacy's offering viagra are as popular as starbucks in america. Its ridiculous!! the shop owners stand outside there shop trying to force you in. We walked down to a little marketplace, the were offering us cheaper prices on the way out cos they wanted us to buy something. But we didn't. However we did buy some T-shirts at one of the other shops. It was a very exhausting day, a long trip back. Getting back across the border is funny. The queues are that long that people walk down the 10-lane highway trying to sell stuff. HAHA, it was funny. once across the border it was a short 20 minute drive home. We were supposed to be going to seaworld tomorrow but i think everyone is too exhausted. I think we'll spend our last day in San Deigo at home on the beach having a BBQ and sitting in the Jacuzzi!!! sounds fun. After that, next stop Beverly Hills!!!! oh yeah
Speak soon!
