from mt baker to alaska

after a cool nights camp at mt baker, washington state we headed into british columbia thru the yukon and deep into alaska. the drive has been awesome. spent a week at apache mike's in chitnia, ak putting up a teepee and building a bridge across a creek. the fresh red salmon meals (and good advice) are more then pay for the efforts. three days until keith arrives and we've got some halibut fishing in the cook inlet and sea kayaking in prince william sound to look forward to. see ya next month....have a great july fourth !!

had to wade thru a mud slid midway thru british columbia

they had to lift a guy off his grader when the water broke thru the banks

weird sky

this curl and 2 dots were only there for about 30 seconds or so.

this was a lone male probally 400 lbs.

there's a handful of log cabins with these sod roofs.

i forget the name of these falls in the yukon

finally made it after some 5700 miles

a pair of 2 year olds probally recently sent away by momma bear

this guy was just across the creek from where i was camped.

endless huge mountains ranges

my first ever golden eagle enjoying a salmon on the copper river

it's wingspan had to 8 ft across

go ahead...just try it ! now straigten up!
