It was now officially summer and we were completing our week of R&R in Hawaii. It was our plan to leave Hawaii at 10PM, fly overnight to Denver, then after an hour layover, fly directly into Saskatoon, arriving at 6PM, rested and ready to hit the ground running in Canada. We had no trouble putting the kids to bed at night, trouble was getting them cleaned up and into pajamas first.

Grandpa showed Sawyer how to chop wood safely. Rules: no one too near, feet wide apart, chop straight down so we don't have accidents.

Windy day activities. We brought these battery operated plastic snap together kits from Taiwan. You are only limited by your imagination in what you can put together.

Dad was buried in Jackfish Cemetery along with many of his family. We will make it a tradition to visit him every summer when we are at the lake.

We enjoy our huge driveway because it makes such a great place to roll Tonga Trucks!

We were up early, the weather was beautiful, and the coffee delicious as we waited for the crew to inflate the balloon.

We live in a beautiful river city that has many parks and lots of trees.

The view was enchanting and the air was clean and crisp. It's very quiet up there too.

We dropped below the banks of the Saskatchewan River to observe the ducks, geese and cranes, and when we lifted, our shadow in the canola made for a unique photo.

We soon had Tai going for a nap by himself in his own bed at our home. Here, Maurice is showing him how it's done.

We had beautiful warm weather in July, and spent quite a bit of time at the pool.

Tai couldn't get enough of the waterslide. He was ready to go anytime someone would take him up. Usually grandma was the taker.

There were crowds there every day, but it is a large facility, and there are lots of life guards on at all times.

What a fun group, they are all about a year apart in age. Bennett is the "mile a minute" guy, Tai's trying to keep up, and Briar is bound and determined to be there too.

We never made it to the pool, the kids had a blast with our hose and the neighbors hose.

Some flowers got watered thanks to the boys. By the end of the afternoon, the driveway was 'souper' clean!

First, we played cars with the clippers, then three of us kept him entertained and reasonably quiet while Grandma got the job done.

Most of Linda's family got together at Smiley's Buffet to celebrate. Way too much ice cream eaten and much too much slurpees drank!

Mom is quite comfortable in her new home! Her daughters make a point of visiting her often now that she is in Saskatoon.

All too soon, it was time to head back to our life in Taiwan.
