Geoff and I have found ways to occupy ourselves on the long drives… we play music, listen to books on tape, Geoff does his business, and we play rhyming games. Following our Wednesday in Winnipeg we had to get an early start to get to Regina. The drive was the first true drive through the prairies…. We saw nothing for miles except for wheat, farmhouses, telephone poles, and pickup trucks. And some cows. Winds were high, so we had to be careful about a cross wind that might cause us to sway a little bit, but other than that, the travel was easy. The highways are in excellent condition and as we got closer to Regina the weather improved. we captured this moment when we stopped for some pics of dr. smooth in the prairies. razors to everyone but most were skeptical of us. I guess its not every day that you pass by a shave lab and you’re offered some swag… We had another room reserved at the Holiday Inn in Regina and we took full advantage of their services… a movie was rented and we fell asleep. As I set the alarm before I went to sleep I inadvertently turned the volume all the way down.
