Boy it is difficult to choose from the 1750 photos I took this trip . Yesterday I did narrow it down to 300 hard copies which you are welcome to view any time .

Trucks loading sand
With the annual drying up of the Ayeyarwady River the construction industry harvests the sand in the riverbed . THe trucks were worth the photo

Not in the guide book
Our driver for the day ( who had put on a Celine Dion CD when we got in the car) took us to some of his favourites .This place was spectacular.

Sagaing
An amazing view . SunU PonyaShin pagoda is high on a hill overlooking many of the 600 monasteries,pagodas and temples of this ancient (1400's) city.

Moat
Surrounding the Royal Palace in Mandalay . In the background Mandaly Hill

Teak Palace
Built in the 1700's and moved here in the 1800's before the British invasion . THe carvings are beautiful and the aura is incredibly peaceful.

Kuthodaw Pagoda
The 729 pagodas surrounding the central structure are referrd to as the worlds largest book .

Marble Tablet
One ablet of the Buddist "Tipitaka". It took 2400 m0nks 6 months to recite the text written here.

Interesting sites.
Certainly nothing that we are familiar with in the European culture. Very talented people. Great on detail. Hard working like some of the Mexicans. I guess the poorer people. You must be reliving your trip doing this sorting. Good for you. love.

Kuthodaw Pagoda
Although I saw the photo on Monday, I did not 'get' the detail until I saw it on my monitor today. Lovely, and amazing. I look forward to viewing the rest of the photos soon.
