Around her home
Hi All,

Well after a couple of great days lazing around Ottawa city we headed up north to Meagan's home place of "Sur la Rouge". From the name alone you can see we entered the province of Qubec (best known for having way too many French people) Of course they are fake French but they get angry when you imply this so it's better to avoid this line of conversation.

Meagan's home place is stunning. Once off the highway the route is along a windy forest road with the sur la rouge river following us all the way. To say her house is remote is an understatement!! My neighborhood in Donegal seems like a city compared to this place.
The main idea behind the trip was to head to a place called Tremblant which is around 40min drive from Meagan's place.

Mont Tremblant Resort is a large year round resort (felt like we were in Austria) about one and a half hours north of Montreal. It is best known as a ski destination, but also features a lake suitable for swimming, and a golf course in the summer months (No hope of membership Garry, annual membership...$12,000. The name

of the mountain, Mont Tremblant, means "trembling mountain" in French. The summit is at an elevation of 875 m (3,150 feet) which is bigger than the highest mountain in Ireland. The surrounding area is a beautiful national park around the same size as Cork county!!! We got a cable car directly to the submit from where we could see for miles around and also meet all the friendly Japaneses taking yet more pictures. My pictures don't do the place justice..........

Back to Meagan's home place that evening where we were fed like kings and where Colm and I tried to show Meagan's brother that we knew how to play American football. Like mosts things Colm and I try, it failed miserably, with us resorting to playing gaelic with the American football by the end.

We headed back to Ottawa on the Sunday.

In other news....Colm and Meagan are now employed.

The next few weeks will consist of looking around Ottawa a lot more. the city is one of the nicest i have visited with loads of things to do and see and the people are super friendly (apart from the fake French when you call them
