Day 11 - More Montreal

UntitledAfter breakfast we took a tour of Old Montreal where we learned the history of a very and architecture of the city. We then had lunch and headed straight to a meeting with local teachers. The meeting was great and a lot of information was shared about the school systems in Montreal. Since Montreal is in the Province of Quebec the school system is the same as Quebec City with the French school system and the English school system. After dinner we had dinner headed straight for the Montreal Jazz Festival. The Jazz Festival is an incredible music event which has mulitple concert stages set up around the city and play live music for free. I went to at least four different stages and heard classical jazz, hip hop jazz and flamenco. Its great to see city events which provide free music and entertaintment for the public.

Depues de almuerzo fuimos en una visita de la parte vieja de Montreal donde aprendimos sobre la historia y arquitectura de la ciudad. Luego almorzamos y fuimos a una junta con maestros de Montreal. La junta fue excelente y presentaron mucha informacion sobre la sistema educativa de Montreal. Montreal esta en la provincia de Quebec y tiene la misma sistema de La Ciudad de Quebec con escuelas en frances y las otras en inglés. Finalmente fuimos al Festival de Jazz en Montreal. El festival es increible evento en donde hay muchos sitios de música arededor de la ciudad y tocan música en vivo gratis. Yo fui a menos de 4 conciertos para escuchar jazz classico, hip hop jazz y flamenco. Me alegra ver a una ciudad que tiene musica gratis y entretenimiento para el público.
