Coming in to Toronto
WHAT A TRIP.... It started with the alarm going off at 7:45 a.m. e.s.t (6/31) and is winding down now at 10pm brussels time (4 p.m. e.s.t. 7/1).... The flight out of Tampa was delayed, which made for an interesting time to say the least. Our 1-hour layover in Toronto turned in to a mad dash through the airport to get the connecting flight. One upside of the flight was that I got to see Niagara Falls from about 15,000 ft. (pretty cool)... Anyways, back to Toronto airport.. In Tampa we were told we would not need to get our luggage in Toronto and that it would go to the next plane...WRONG, 20min to flight leaves we find out we need to get our luggage, get it on the plane, clear security and customs (for the 2nd time) then make the dash to the gate... Needless to say, my pace went from jog to dead sprint (with a backpack and laptop case) when I heard our names called for the second time... flight went well (only lasted an hour), then another layover in Montreal for about an hour or so, then back on the plane we just got off of and

on for the long haul to Brussels... Finally landed in Brussels at about 9am local time. Got our luggage and a few euros then headed to the train station and took about a 10-15 min ride to our hotel, "Hotel Cascade Midi," 'conveniently' located across the street from the train station. As we arrived early, we dropped off our luggage and headed back to the train station for a bite to eat... I hate un jambon (i think thats what it was... it was some sort of beef paste with tomatoes and lettuce on a french roll.... not bad for a premade sammich). After that we made it back to the Hotel to get checked in and all and then hit the hay for the a few hours......
