Pariliment building
Ooo can I live here?? Ahhh I love it when flights go nice and easy. No little kids next to me on this flight smashing me in the legs! I arrived in late and hightailed it right to the hostel. Spent the rest of the night being lazy and chatting with the 5 other guests in the common room. We also watched a vampire movie which made my night. Sure I've seen Interview With a Vampire like 300 times before and know every line since I'm a vampire junkie, but :D
For some reason the girls staying there thought I was from Scotland or Ireland because of my accent. I didn't know I had that bad of an accent, and I'm Canadian! Well us maritimers are messed up anyways 😉 The hostel is great as always and I even got the same room I was in two years ago. Good people and comfy beds! Cannot ask for much more.
So the next day was spent exploring around the capital of Canada. Doing a bit of the tourist thing, checking out a neat civilization museum (yeah i like museums), watching an IMAX film on the African volcano of Kilamanjaro and seeing the cool looking parliment
Canoe
Neat canoe in the museum buildings. I want to own my own castle someday! We also crossed over into the Quebec side to hit a casino as well! I won ten bucks on my first game! And then lost it all :P Ah well, the buffet was awesome and I probably gained 5kgs. Damnit chocolate desserts just call to me like a siren. I tried to talk in my sorry excuse for french, and I think I succeded alright. Not using a language for years and years...I forget so much!
Later on, three of the girls from the hostel and I went skating! Normally I'm a good skater, but bad luck struck when I slipped and fell on my ass. Crap that really hurt! I now have a giant purple spot on my butt. As I'm writing this now it hurts hehehe. Suck it up solider, you have much left to do. Play through the pain!
Today wasn't as eventful as the weather was a bit of a pain. Too cold to really do anything outside for a long period of time. Me and Lise did manage to grab a phemonminal lunch of crepes and fruit. If I keep eating this good I'll
be huge in no time. Since the day was going slowish, the hostel worker/owner guy Ken took us out for a small driving tour around! We brought along his cute dog who was so happy to be seeing all this new people willing to adore and pet him. We saw alot of the countryside and then had a picnic outside but this huge river that was frozen and had ice fishermen on it.
Soon I'll be off to Toronto to see old friends and flop around the fun city. Lots of things I (sorta) have planned :D I'm hoping I will not get too lost in the subway system. Last time I was here I had a rough time hehehe. I can't wait to do some shopping too. I usually never go shopping on backpacking trips, but I can always ship the stuff home cheap. Oh yeah, the zoo is open this time of year too!!!! *bounces*
Ok I'm off to grab so orange juice before I crash for the night. it is like 1 in the morning here hehehe and I've had a couple beers. I think I might sleep in tommorrow a little 😊
Goodbye
Figurine
