Well, part 2 begins! We were all very excited to get back to work on the Relay. We are a small road team as the communites are small therefore the number of Medal Bearers are small. Lots of time to really enjoy the places we go. Thunder Bay and area was great! As we moved on we finally started to get the winter it should be up here. We have travelled through many small communities but have been received with great excitement, warmth and appreciation! When we reached Ignace, the temps finally plummetted! We went from +3 to -17 degrees in the same day! Upsula Public School was alot of fun! The whole school came out and joined in with the 3 students who were chosen to be Medal Bearers. There are 17 students in all, grades K to 8! 2 teachers and 1 part time Vice Principal! Loving these tiny communities! Dryden was also very excited to see us. We had a great turn out at the end of day celebration! From Dryden, we moved onto Vermilion Bay and then finally Kenora. Our last town in Ontario. We had 2 non-relay days in Kenora so we were able to get
Thunder Bay, On
Kyle at our meeting point in the Rosslyn library! out and enjoy some good old northern winter! As you can see by most of the photos, we are lacking in sunshine. Hopefully as the temps continue to drop we will at least get a dose of vitamin D!
Our next blog will be in a new province! Hard to believe we spent 2 1/2 months of relaying in Ontario. Until then, enjoy the pics and will update you all in Manitoba.
As always, cheers...love Jeepa and Weedie xoxo
