Today we leave the scenic Bonavista Peninsula and head south back to St John’s for 3 nights. Cloudy, foggy, and rain during the 3 hr drive. Downpour in some areas that were very challenging on the highway. Newfoundland has some interesting and quirky village names : Heart’s Desire,Heart’s Content, Dildo, Mistake Point, just to name a few we’ve seen. Once we got settled into the JAG Hotel in St John’s, we walked Water St, known for their many restaurants, and found O’Reilly’s Pub. This was the perfect spot for us listening to Irish Newfoundland music. As we ate dinner, we listened to the session of 14 musicians that gather through the week and entertain the patrons. Great fun, music, food, and local beer!
