Hello from New Brunswick, Canada, There are many more leaves here than people. We had a grand time at Fundy Natl. Park. We visited the Hopewell Rocks yesterday at high tide. The sandy beach and rocks get completely covered when the tide comes in the Bay of Fundy. It can vary by 42' if conditions are right. We were one of four RVs in the campground which was on a lovely pond. I was sure that we would see a moose at dusk or dawn...nope. We spent most of the day in the park where there are many hiking trails. We even saw moose hoof prints, but alas, no moose. It was a beautiful trail through spruce woods, birch forests, and maple trees. Again, we were the only ones on the trail. Stopped at Wolf Lake for lunch all by ourselves. Climbed out to the lighthouse on Cape Enrage and again solitude. Everything really closes down at this time which really is a shame since it is so colorful and sunny. At the small harbor at Alma, there were many boats stranded out of the water; it was low tide. They must wait until high tide to have them usable again.

Fishing boats at the Alma Harbor, Bay of Fundy, NB
Now I know where the expression, "leaving me high and dry" came from...Bay of Fundy fishermen. Tonight we are in a city ...St. John which is also on the Bay of Fundy. This is where the water flowing down the St. John's River actually goes back upstream when it's high tide. Our campground is on top of a hill overlooking the city and harbor. We haven't seen twinkling lights for a long time, but again no other RVs within sight. We went downtown for fish 'n chips to celebrate our last night in Canada. signing off from Canada, love, DWT
