Ride Finished:

Back in Vancouver the ride is finished. Bikes cleaned, serviced & ready for the new owners.3 of the 4 are sold & Bryan & Ian are delivering them to Vancouver Island by ute today. Our gear is either cleaned or binned & we can now play tourists for a few days in this beautiful sunny city. Caught up with some friends for drinks & relaxed. Ian & Bryan did a few extra days riding in the Idaho panhandle & Penticton areas (photos attached) whilst Keith & I returned to Vancouver to meet Karyn who has been hiking in Yellowstone & Yoshimite National Parks & Vicki who has arrived from NZ. on her way to London & Italy.

A summary of our ride is that you can't really summarise something so diverse & interesting but a few things stand out. North America is an amazing continent. The variation in places to go, things to do seem endless. From hot to high elevation cold in a matter of hours, the scenery is stunning, the people are friendly & interested in our trip everywhere we go, the service in restaurants, motels, shops etc is almost with exception outstanding even where tips are not expected. Americans are the most happy relaxed accommodating people you could hope to meet followed closely by Canadians. A sense of humour is evident everywhere & striking a grumpy person is unusual unless it's one of us after a long hot day on the trail. Driving standards are the most courteous you would find anywhere in the world.

Now we have a few days spare to embellish our stories & plan another trip.
