Today was all about being "wet and having to wait" We took 3 buses and a train to get to Cypress Mountain for The Women's Freestyle Moguls. We waited outside in the rain for 2 hours to get the bus up to the mountain and it rained the entire time we were up there. As wonderful and well organized asThe Opening ceremony was, today was just the opposite. There were many glitches with the transportation and logistics. We are all drenched to the bone and are looking forward to a day off from timetables. Tomorrow we are exploring Vancouver, Grandville Island etc. . .FYI, we all love hearing from you but be sure to include your name with your comments and if you subscribe (no cost) you will receive an email automatically everytime we post an entry..

Glad to see you guys are having fun. Never suppose to rain at a ski resort, but I'm sure you made the best of it. Don't do anything I wouldn't do! Have a great week.

Rain
We were watching the mogul competition in its entirety and kept thinking about you guys. NBC also said with the security being so tight they recommended you get to your event three hours ahead of time. It was so exciting to see the American girl (forgot her name) with the competition. Did you see Matt Lauer yet? Stay warm and healthy. Keep writing.....

advice for trip to Cypress?
Hi, my family will be going up to Cypress Mountain for the Aerials competition. I am concerned about my kids holding up in the bad weather. Any advice for us? Anything you wish you'd brought with you? We have standing room tickets, so I'm wondering whether we can bring portable chairs? Umbrellas? Thanks! -Richard Greene Seattle

HAPPY YOU MADE IT!!
What's a "little" rain? You certainly can find a little something to warm your inners. Just have to tell you that the Olympics are always exciting, but knowing that all of you are a part of it even makes it so much more fun for all of us. Have fun - love this blog!! Jane

Wow
It is nice to hear that you are able to find the way to events. The Opening Ceremony was great. I will be so anxious to hear of your great adventures. I keep looking for your faces in the crowd but no luck yet. Have fun and try to warm up and dry off. Mary Fowler
