As we return home we recall the last verse of the last hymn sung at Evensong in the Gothic cathedral in Odense, Denmark our last evening in continental Europe October 10, 2007 before the overnight ship to England.

From 'We plough the fields'

We thank thee then, O God,
for all things bright and good,
the seed-time and the harvest,
our life, our health, our food;
accept the gifts we offer
for all they love imparts,
and, what thou most desirest,
our humble, thankful hearts.
