Hallo everyone, After our jaunt through the Rockies, the rest of the summer just zipped by with fun around town and weekends away. Some special highlights are our visit to Auntie Al in Victoria, playing on the mud flats at Spanish Banks and our very first visit to Robert's Creek! And now today is the first day of school..... and the fall routine begins again! Hope you are all doing well..... Love, Anna, Sarah, Chris and Lynore

Due to the Vancouver civic strike, we found ourselves at the beach much more often this summer. The girls particularly loved playing in the mud flats at low tide.

We had a great time hanging out in Downtown Victoria, waiting for the concert to start. The kids' tent had seeds to plant and colouring to do. We also wandered around downtown for a bit. Al made us a great picnic dinner which we enjoyed once the concert started.

We had such a fun visit with Richard and MJ up at Robert's Creek. Fortunately, our weekend coincided with Creek Daze so we TRULY experienced the culture of "the creek". Here we are waiting for the parade to begin.

We went out for dinner with Sarah and Nick to check out the new cajun restaurant in the "hood". The sweet potato fries were AMAZING! (please note the beer... all photos with N and S must contain beer)

Anna was up and completely ready by 7.25 this morning and Sarah was a very close second at 7.30! As a result, we had time for a French toast breakfast before heading out the door.

The traditional "first day of school front step photo".... NOTE the umbrella and rain coats!!!!! I can't remember a time when it has rained on the first day of school.... this must be a first. Pretty much sums up the summer weather, tho'
