Farewell Vancouver..see you next time, hopefully while I'm inside a car 😊
Before we left the city, we took more pictures. Honestly, there were not any good places to photograph without including construction projects (as you will see in the pictures below).

We departed for my uncle and aunt's house in Surrey in time for lunch. When we arrived, it was as if we had stepped inside a restaurant, a Filipino one. Before we entered their house, the aroma of Filipino cuisine was in the air drawing us in as if we were under some spell lol..For lunch, fried Lumpia(Filipino-style rolls), fried rice, crispy fish, menudo, pansit-bihon(Filipino style rice noodles) were ready for ever-hungry, cyclists' stomach. Also! DQ Blizzards(yes, that's Dairy Queen Georgia mud fudge and choco-chip cookie dough, Rene and I stopped by DQ on the way to my uncle's😊 Since we knew that abundant amount of food awaited at the house, we packed the blizzards to go and stored them in the freezer when we arrived 😊

After lunch, we were so full that we succumbed to a nap. What a great afternoon it was! We pretty much just chilled afterwards, watched some Canadian TV, and
Ready and waiting..Ready and waiting..Ready and waiting..

Our humble steeds(Shrek)...they've been good to us, so far :)
cleaned/washed our bikes so that they would be ready for tommorrow's cross-country trek.

After dinner, Marie, Vincent, Joseph(my cousins), Rene and I all went to a bubble tea shop. That was a lot of fun. Joseph is something else, I havent laughed so hard in a very long time. for a 14-year old kid, he's quite the jester. (correction 7/1/07, the jester, is actually 16 years old, sorry Joseph 😊

Well, I'm off to dreamland. 'Need as much sleep as possible for tommorrow, a day of seemingly, endless riding, riding back to the USA, our great Northwest 😊

The day before when we were walking through Chinatown in Vancouver, we dined at an unusually expensive Chinese restaurant and were very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. When we saw this in Surrey, we had to try it, it was awesome, and for half the price! You can see it in Rene's face, I think this is the first time he's smiled since this trip started :)

Bubble tea shop?! Why...that sounds sooooo macho?! What the heck is that? BTW: I want some Filipino cuisine, too!
