We have had two/ three very relaxing days at this Indian Reservation deep in the forests of Quadra Island. We have explored the island from top to bottom and been along some very remote logging trails that literally ended up in the middle of nowhere. Haven't seen any of the Blackfoot Tribe but some of the locals must be close relatives. Blimey there are a lot trees here. Massive ,straight and seeming to go right up to the clouds. By the million!

There is more driftwood piled up along the shore than I ever imagined. If I could get an export license I'd make a fortune bringing it over to the UK.

The wildlife continues to be all around us.... But no bears in sight.

Tomorrow back to Vancouver on the ferry. We are going totem pole hunting on Tuesday. Joy thinks I might have a chance of getting photographs in focus as they don't move. We shall see.

Today's photo is of the view from our room.
