It seemed that this trip was so damned far away that it would be forever till it came and here it is in less than a week!
Less than a week away… busy photocopying all the documents… been through a few trial runs of packing and generally running around with my head chopped off trying to get stuff together… not to mention getting things ready at home. I’ve had the luggage out for a few weeks now and on the first day, Sugar (my cat) freaked but I haven’t left yet so I think she forgot that luggage means going away. I feel so bad for Adrian who has to deal with Sugar when I’m gone. For those of you who know her, you understand, and those who don’t let’s just say Sugar is not a good name for her. She should have been named an antonym of it. Well… that and that Adrian and Sugar have a mutual dislike for each other.
Picked up the final itinerary and all the tickets last week! I didn’t think they were serious when they said we would be tenting it… but they were! 2 nights in the Serengeti!!!!
Another note from a friend - don’t dress in Safari outfits - we’ll be walking targets and we’ll look like IDIOTS… regular clothes are the best. I’ve heard this both from my sis and Meetal (a Tanzanian). Meetal also mentioned that the food is best served with beer and that it will be SUPER humid and warm.

4th - More Masai Mara & Hot Air Balloon Safari
5th - Lake Victoria
6th - Serengeti National Park - TENTING IT!!!!
7th - Serengeti (still tenting)
8th - Ngorongoro Crater
9th - More Ngorongoro Crater
10th - Lake Manyara
11th - Arusha, Kilimanjaro to Nairobi & Nairobi to Johannesburg (11:35pm)
12th - Johannesburg/Pretoria
13th - Johannesburg to Victoria Falls (Livingstone)
14th - Victoria Falls
15th - Livingstone to Pretoria
16th - Johannesburg/Pretoria
17th - Johannesburg/Pretoria
