Banff behind us, the open road beckoning, we made our way up to the picturesque jasper national park (largest population of protected grizzly bears in the world). Sure enough the bear spotting was a success.... we watched (from the car) a baby black bear forage around on the side of the road. We also visited and walked upon the Athabasca Glacier and James tasted the glacier-fresh water. The scenery was amazing - massive mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes.

The camping here is choice too, you can light fires and the sun doesn't set til about 10pm leaving lots of time to sit and yarn, and toast marshmallows.
