In Edmonton

Hi!

We made it to Edmonton. Thirteen hours of driving and two tanks of gas. We had planned to leave Thursday morning at 6 am but after getting our van the night before we noticed a smell on one of the front tires. Well we figured we better get it looked at so we ended up waiting around till 9 when the garage opened so the mechanic could look at it. By ten thirty we were finally off. It turns out it was just a new brake pad that hadn't been worn in yet, thank goodness. We decided to go up through Jasper, which was really beautiful. We got up so high there was snow beside the road at one point. There was lots of wildlife, including a few deer, a bald eagle, an elk and a moose! I think we'll have to go back that way when we're going home and camp a night somewhere, preferably at low elevation where its not freezing lol. So we got in to Edmonton around eleven thirty Thursday night. So far the weather here has been great and we're looking forward to checking out The Mall. I'll let you all know what we get up to while we're here.
