A very very early start (up at 5am) for our early morning flight to Calgary.
Montreal is a strange airport. Self service check in followed by a long queue to drop off your luggage.
Thankfully we were on an Airbus so it was a very smooth flight although 4.5 hours long. We were promptly met by our coach. The airport is very clean and there are lots of volunteers to help dressed in white stensons, red shirts and white waistcoats. The Smoke from forest fires burning 150 miles away hung over the city. We had a tour then walked down by the elbow river. Saw a huge catapillar and Pam saw a snake. No one knew what kind so we retrieted quickly. Had dinner in an Irish pub. Very very busy but fish and chips for $5 (about £3.20). City has excellent public transport (trams and buses) and you can get around from block to block by using enclosed aerial walkways.
