Day 8.....
Spent our first night in our RV in Kananaskis and then moved up to Banff. The scenery here is breathtaking! We are staying in a campsite on Tunnel Mountain and everywhere we look there are moutains, forests and beautiful turqiose waters. The sun is still shining so we have hiked lots of trails and seen plenty of wildlife (incl. Elk, Mountain Sheep, Osprey, Kingfishers and the odd chipmunk! No Moose as yet!).
Took the Gondola up Sulphur Mountian yesterday (legs too tired to climb anymore and this is supposed to be a holiday right?!) and felt like we were on top of the world. The view was spectacular!
Spent this morning at Lake Minnewanka (?!) and what was supposed to be a leisurely stroll turned into a full scale bear hunt. Needless to say we did not find said bear!
This evening we are dining out in Banff town, after many successful cooking sessions in the RV we thought we would branch out! Ohh and if you ever find yourself here you have to try 'Cows' ice cream - it is delicious!
Moving on to Lake Louise tomorrow, hope all is well with everyone
at home - we are thinking of you!
