Dubai April 2006

Tomorrow is our departure to Dubai, I am looking forward to it after hard days of work.

Saturday we have planned a show-around and evening dinner at the well known Burj al Arab hotel. It is just awesome! I have seen it before, but this time I want to give my boyfriend a chance to see it too! The suites there are amazing, plenty of gold covered furnitures, bath tubs etc. You also have you own butler 😊

Sunday we have booked a jeep safari with Bedouin dinner. I am also looking forward to this.

Of course you need to take a look at the gold-souk and spice-souk. The museum is also very exciting.

We do not have many days to spend. We leave early tuesday morning and I will go directly to work after landing.

Dubai was great! We had a wonderful dinner at Burj al Arab, we went to see the new shoppingmall " Mall of the Emirates" including a skiing area. Beeing from Norway and all, my boyfriend and me thought we should show these people how to ski downhill, but decided not to.

We found several nice things to buy rather cheap in Dubai. We went home with new shoes, surround system and a new diamond ring 😊

If you have not been there, go. You will not regret it. Take a jeep safari to the desert and lunch in a bedouin camp including a belly dancer show. If you are taking pictures or filming the show you will almost guaranteed be dragged up on the carpet to dance. So now you are warned.
