After our mishap in Schenzen we had a great Emirates flight, found a hotel and decided to take a little nap before exploring the city! However our bodies had other plans as our two hour nap turned into seven and we woke up at ten at night! Apparently the missed night of sleep and all the excitement caught up to us! After room service and tv, we arranged for a bus tour the next day so we could see as much as possible in the few hours we had left! Dubai is a beautiful city and definatly the richest one we have seen on our travels. We were able to see a mosque, which runs a program to help people understand Islam better, the infamous seven star hotel, the rich appartments on Palm Islands (man made islands shaped like a palm tree), the beach, some art galleries, the indoor ski facility and the biggest mall. It was a quick tour but well worth as Dubai is extremely different than any other place we have seen. After our tour we headed back to the airport and off to Sri Lanka!
