Why yes, Turkish Airlines, I'd love a three day layover in Istanbul! I spent the next 10 minutes staring at a map trying to deduce whether I'd have enough time to sneak into Iran. Merhaba! Turkey is my new roommate's favorite country, quite possibley ever. We drink turkish chai all the time while playing backgammon and he teaches me baby-turkish phrases. I hope you're having fun!!!

Great pics! We would love to have you visit here welcome here in Abu Dhabi!!....In regards to high expectations, be warned --the oldest building here is 30 years old and the national pasttime is tearing buildings down to rebuild....but we have losts of mosques!--little ones big ones, and some in between. UAE is also a great jumping off point to visit Iran--you can practically swim over!

Just a small remark
Turkey is a great country and Instabul is a unique city. Your blog is really nice but I would like to make a remark. The temple called "Hagia Sophia" was built by Orthodoxes. The Byzantines were Orthodoxes, not Catholics. Please bear in mind that issues like nationality, history and religion in Balkan and Minor Asia are extremely sensitive.
