little girl 2000 yrs old
ANOTHER WARM ONE TODAY HAD A LONG SWIM IN THE POOL WHEN WE GOT BACK TO THE GUESTHOUSE

but first we went to Nazareth where Jesus grew up and we went to a village which has been set up on the ruins of an old farming area where they have uncovered some ruins and reconstructed a village scene complete with actors acting out life in a nazareth village 2000 yrs ago they have a donkey crushing the wheat while a shepherd watches his sheep a watchman stands watch over the whole area, an old lady weaves some wool and a carpenter cuts some wood and demonstrates a drill with a bow and string and a young girl wanders around looking cute and having her photo taken with tourists the whole thing is very well done,

from the village we went to the mount of precipice so called the mountain that jesus was led to to be thrown down, probably not the place but from here there is a good view over the valley of jezreel to tabor mountain which stands out on its own

Tsipori national park is a archeological dig there are so many in Israel each

adding to the accuracy of the bible this city would have been the main city in nazerath built at the time of Jesus by Herod the mosaics here are amazing one is of a womans face remember made with pieces of stone so detailed it has been compared to the mona lisa

now it is getting really hot luckily we found a refrigerated water fountain and cooled down and then we went to Capernaum Jesus spent a lot of time here during his ministry and chose most of his disciples from this area most of the ruins here are 400 yrs after Christ but under the ruins above ground you see a layer of darker stone which was from Jesus time.

we had intended to go for a swim here but it was very rocky and signs saying no swimming so we went to magdala supermarket to get supplies bbq tonight

just had a swim and now about to have tea
