We were taken to Yardenit - an alleged site where Jesus was baptised. However, scripture indicates that he was baptised at Bethany beyond Jordan (Bethabara) and that is much further south and more likely where John the Baptist was in the wilderness. This section of the Jordan River, although popular amone many seems to be the wrong location. There were literally hundreds of people here and several groups were in white robes and being baptised by a minister, priest or parson.
I am old and my wife is younger. We love visiting family and friends and visiting places of interest as well as having the odd steam train trip, or coach tour, perhaps a boat ride. We see this as being a great way to keep in touch with our global family and global friends from Facebook.

Alleged Baptism SiteA few of our group preparing to enter the "site". One (David) had been baptised in Sydney only a few weeks before hand.
Alleged Baptism SiteLatin, Greek and Hebrew (?) of Mark 1:9-11 "And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
