View of the port of Haifa from the Bahai Gardens The fall semester is finally starting here at the University of Haifa. Classes have begun, and we already have homework. Right now I am taking a class on Arab Israeli relations, terrorism and responses, and am continuing the Hebrew Ulpan (an intensive Hebrew course). The good news is that I only have my regular classes once a week while the Hebrew course is from Monday-Thursday. This means that I get a lot of spare time to see the city and hopefully travel around the country. I cannot wait to visit Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, and to see Jerusalem and Tel Aviv again. Although, as of now, none of the international students are being allowed to travel. As you may have heard, there has been quite a bit of unrest in Jerusalem and the West Bank. So, the school has asked us to stay in Haifa for the time being to avoid any incidents involving international students. So far everything in Haifa is still safe, but we are all hoping that things will quiet down soon so that we can tour Israel.
Also, I apologize for the previous lack of pictures, but I just figured out
how to do it so I will start posting some. Love you all!
