hey there everybody!
here we are in italy! wahoo! we are just kind of wasing time between now and when we have purchased our tickets for the uffitzi or something. anyway, it is some kind of totally awesome museum. i am pretty jazzed. we have had a pretty awesome couple of days. yesterday we spent the day in pisa and saw the leaning tower and walked around the city drinking beer which i must say was even more awesome to me than seeing the leaning tower. but then i am easily amused 😊. then we headed off to florence and spent

the latter part of yesterday searching for our hostel (which due to a bunch of craziness we ended up in a significantly better room WITH AIRCONDITIONING 😊 and then dinner. oh, last night we headed out to see one of what seems to be many reproductions of the david statue but it was really awesome cause we had a long bus trip through the city (which i love) and where this particular statue was there was an amazing view of the river and the sunset over florence. we have 60 dillion-ish pictures of the same thing just with

the sun at varying degrees of down-ness. it is awesome 😊 today is wonderful. just hanging around and walking around with more beer. i seem to have gained a much better appreciation of beer since i have come to europe. i figure that carrie would be happy to hear this 😊 but gerry you were right, between the beer and the pizza dining is pretty awesome here. everywhere i go people are totally thrown off by the fact that i dont like wine. there was even one person that was so taken back that once they recovered

they told me that god might forgive me for such a horrible thing (this was in france). i think it is hillarious. life is amazingly great! i love you all so very much. hope that life is wonderful where ever you all are and will be talking to you soon being that i am home in about 2 1/2 weeks : ( thats alright. i can always travel more later 😊

Yes, you might be so intent on the big items on your sight seeing agenda you might very easily forget to rummage around in those tacky little shops with all the sweet old and cheap stuff, the hand carved cameo pendant carved out of oyster shells so there is Mother of pearl in the border. And the low end art galleries with the really fantastic oil paintings for really fantastic prices. So Don't Forget to have Fun, Bring something home, hang it on a wall, put it on a shelf. and have that chunk of your history always at your finger tips. Love you back. Gerry
