Holland and BelgiumDave B 4-20-07 Upon arriving in Amsterdam I looked around the train station and everybody appeared normal. I guess I was expecting some sort of freakshow are something. I did notice a copious number of bikes. Actually a freakish number of bikes. Bikes on top of bikes. Well you get the point. They predominantly appeared to be junky bikes as well. Check these out no backs to them. I didn't see any women using them. I did see homowners who had signs up saying 1 euro to use their home restroom. Using the toilet is big business in Europe.

On my way to Milan from Amsterdam I made a quick stop in Brussels. It was a neat City and one I would recommend staying longer than the 2 hours I was there.

The business around the boy peeing really played this up. Belgium is French speaking. The French are the nicest people I have met so far on this trip and I have heard two couples say the same thing. I think a lot of what we hear is just government propaganda.

This is the coolest train I have been on so far. It was fast, but yet the ride was very smooth. It is a German train and I had heard they are the best. German Engineering! I bet you could have taken a glass of water and filled it to within a 1/4" of being full and not spilled a drop the entire trip to Milan.

On the way to Milan I had to switch trains in Frankfurt at which time I had supper. Germany is known for their sausage so I had a bratwurst. Man I have come a long way with regards to the quality of food after leaving Ireland and England. This was good!
