Check out the spectacular display of lights at the Grand Place, Brussels (a UNESCO world heritage site).
Hi all! Once again sorry for the lack of updates....we've been slacking off...
Well, where should I start? After our europe trip we were back at work in Bournemouth. So time passed by pretty quickly and it was Christmas. We took the Eurostar (an express train linking England and parts of europe) to Brussels, Belgium. It was great, I highly recommend the Eurostar.....much less hassle as you arrive straight into the city centre. We got a really good last minute deal with Eurostar and accommodation at a 4 star hotel....very nice. Brussels is beautiful, plenty of history, amazing buildings and yummy food (waffles, Belgian Chocolates and mussels!) em..... We took a day trip to Bruge (about a couple of hours north of Brussels). It truly felt that time had stopped at this place as you walked the cobbled-stone streets and see horse-drawn carriages go by. Very different kind of christmas to what we're used to, cold rather than warm. The christmas atmosphere was lovely.....the beautiful display of lights, christmas carols, christmas markets....the only thing missing was being with our family 😞 Well, at least we had each other.

Moving on, we spent New Years in London with my cousin Su

& her husband Jon. What did we do? We ate a lot of yummy food! Six days after New year, we were on a plane to Geneva (Switzerland) on route to Les Arcs, France. we spent a week there snowboarding with some friends and celebrated Jason's big THREE 0! Had an awesome time exploring the different parts of Les Arcs and also enjoying the Apre Ski. It was our first ski-in ski-out experience. each morning we hopped on our boards and off we go down to catch the gondola. At the end of the day we just rode home to our back door!

After our trip to Les Arcs, we had a couple of weeks at work and then we were off to Canada (which is where I'm writing this). Enjoy all the pictures that we've posted and hopefully we'll update you about our trip to Canada. So far, we are having a blast!

Great to hear from you again! Photos look great and you sound as though you've had a ball. Happy birthday Jason! I've just come back from 2 weeks in South Africa. Stunning country, parts of it remind me of New Zealand bt at least it's a dry heat so my hair didn't go frizzy which was a bonus!! Should have gone to South Africa to work! Still doing work on the flat, but it's a bit slow. Let me know wher you are at the moment. Lots of love Maureen
