Still holed up here in Walton-on-Thames. Not part of the plan, but river levels are high and the stream is flowing dangerously fast, so we're advised to stay put until it subsides.

Were saved yesterday by H's cousin Richard and wife Anne, who live in Teddington just down the road. Spent luxurious day at their home - so much space, solid ground, washing machine, shower, TV. Never been so happy loading a washing machine! Then sought out all available electrical sockets to charge the myriad of electrical gadgets we seem to have! (Possible on PM, but far more complicated.) Then, sat and watched Wimbledon final in comfort. Then had a long, hot shower. Then enjoyed lovely meal. Then they took us home... there followed a noisy night owing to various detritus flowing past and buffeting the boat.

Today had an educational day out at Hampton Court (actual birthplace of Captain H).

Weather tonight does seem calmer so hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to continue our journey.

Knitting growing, fishing on hold.
