Waiting for the bus to our hotel - very hot and humid
Well, here we at last. The end of our first week in the United Kingdom!

The flight from Adelaide via Melbourne to Tokyo was Ok and we did not experience any problems except for a short delay to our Adelaide departure due to ice on the wings.

Tokyo (Narita) was very hot and extremely humid. We did enjoy our overnight stay. Next morning went straight to the British Airways lounge for plenty of food and booze.

London flight was good - first time on a Jumbo for me.

The hotel in London was small as was the room, but who needs a big room when you are out and about each day.

Spent a good deal of time walking around London although we did use the Hop On Hop Off bus. Lots and lots of bloody tourists.

The trip to North Wales was an eye opener. Travelled by Virgin Trains from Euston Station - First Class. This included much better seating and hot breakfast. The only bug bear was putting up with the businessmen on the phones - always leaving mobile signal when travelling through tunnels. It was a very fast train trip.
