Busses and Weather Patterns: The Weather God Phenomenon Exposed I may not be particularly striking, I may not be inordinately tall, I may not have superpowers or omnipresence, but I am a weather god. I say this in all seriousness and I can prove it. Unfortunately I don't actually have the ability to control the weather, it just sort of happens automatically, and it's somehow linked with buses in ... Read Full Entry

The Lake Beginning to Disappear

Behind the lake, somewhere deep in that fog, there is the Great Glen and Fort William. . .

The town (and hostel) at the foot of Ben Nevis. It looks like a long way down, and the edge of the mountain falls down there awfully quickly.

Separating the old and new towns in what used to be a lake this park was great to walk down when the sun was out. Unfortunately, the sun often wasn't out.

A Very Typical View of Edinburgh

Arthur's Seat

On the east side of Edinburgh the city abruptly ends at the foot of this hill known as Arthur's seat. The whole area there is a park and you can climb to the top for a good view (I didn't).

The New Scottish Parliament

Not as ancient as the English, not as elegant as the Australian, and in my opinion not very Scottish looking either. This randomly arranged lego construction is where the government of Scotland conducts it's business.

Tourist trap, windy, expensive, not that much fun and yet still awfully pretty to look at.
