It started with a four day window of opportunity to get out & do something wild, away to remote locations in breathtaking scenery. Escapism. Let me firstly introduce myself to t'internet. I have very little recollection of my early years growing up in the Tropics until I was adopted at the age of two by a lady who worked at Paignton Zoo. She became my benefactor in England, providing me with very comfortable accommodation & a reasonable standard of living until her sad demise, late 2004 after what can only be described as a bizarre gardening accident. The night before we were here a local guy had topped himself & his ex by driving his van into the lock. Saw the wheelspin marks by the waters edge, read about it in the local paper later. Sad.

Heading Home

Bongo done us proud. 1112 miles. Never missed a beat. Respect.

MM - All I can say is 'WOW!' Can't wait until we visit, for the first time, in August....when, I suspect the snow will be replaced by midges! :o(
