Went to the travel agent this morning and organised another tour- it is so last minute as it leaves in less than 1 week!! Then met Judy for some sightseeing. She wanted to go home to get her passport as she was in the middle of organising her National Insurance number. So we agreed to meet in an hour. In the mean time I went to the Internet Cafe. Heard back from Judy- she has been evicted!! There was £3000 owing in bills and the Real Estate wouldn't allow anyone else on the lease until it was paid. She had stuff to sort out, so went walking.
Around the city there is a display of cows. They are all decorated by artists and will soon be auctioned for charity. I got a cow map from the Info Centre and went in search of cows. By mid afternoon I had found 32 of the 94 cows- good effort! I noticed that 2 cows were missing from their stands- maybe they were stolen? Walked past the museums, which are generally free and will go to during the week. Saw a cathedral, didn't even cross the street to get closer, am so
02 Castle
Edinburgh Castle at the top of the country. over churches. This is going to be a church free city for me.
Met Jude at her ex-house and helped her pack- 24 hours earlier she had been unpacking. Helped her carry her stuff to her hostel. The poor thing. Nikki, Angie and Jude are all in the same room and down the road from my hostel. Nikki and Angie had their first day of work today and we all went to celebrate by finding the cheapest restaurant!! Kebabs, Indian and pizza all at the same place.
