This morning I moved hostels, out to Globetrotters. I only moved because I have paid for it in February and would be a waste to pay to stay else where. Was there for two minutes to leave my bag in storage and got the mini-bus back into town. Today I was finally going to do some sightseeing. Met Judy and we caught the bus to Edinburgh Butterfly and Garden World. We were quite excited. The bus ride took a long time and was worth our £2.30 for the day ticket.
The butterfly house was warm and humid. The butterflies were very quick and it was hard to take photos of them as they flew about. Some of them were very pretty. In general it was the colourful ones that didn't stop flying. The plainer ones were easy to spot among the plants as they rested.
There were also a few reptiles and insects there. A big, fat hairy tarantula walked across my hand and so did a giant South American millipede. We also had the chance to hold a constrictor- I declined and only touched it with one finger for half a second. I do not like snakes!!
We then spent

A butterfly. more time wandering around the butterfly house. We wanted to get our money's worth. Living here on Aussie dollars isn't cheap!! Also saw huge snails and little flightless birds living with the butterflies.
