Edinburgh Castle, early in the morning.

Got up nice and early this morning and looked outside and saw lots of fog! Walked into town and past the castle which sits in the middle of the town on a hill. It was surrounded by fog. Walked to the travel agents to find that they didn't open until 10am- for another hour. This was no good to me as I had to meet Angie at 10 in town. Wanted to organise another tour that leaves very soon- yes it is a bit last minute!

Slowly walked to town and had breakfast at McDonalds. When I came out, it was sunny and blue sky!! Yeah! Edinburgh is pretty, looks old, but I like it. Waited for Angie at the Info Centre. Read my book in the sun while I was waiting. Met her and walked with her. She was suppose to catch the bus to meet me, but the bus stops were the other way. She stopped in front of a car and said 'Surprise!' She had a car, Nikki had bought a car for work. So we drove to their place to pick up Nikki. It was the third time they had used the car- I felt

special! Its been so long since I've been in a car!!

A short drive later and we got to their temporary accommodation. Then we walked into Leith, where there was a festival today. Saw some break dancing and then the very short parade. Then had a break and pint and saw Beckham kick the winning goal for England. Jude met us there, she is also settling in Edinburgh. There was a jewelry shop that was part of the festival. They sold jewelry made of foil. They all took it so seriously and for 20p you could buy a walk or a ring for only 5p. No, it didn't last very long until it fell apart!! I think the money went to a good cause. A while later we had lunch and then walked into Edinburgh and went to the Three Sisters. A pub that was chockers as the soccer was on, this time Sweden and Trinidad. Left quite soon as it was getting messy.

Walked to the Grassmarket area and sat outside in the sun with a drink, finished just in time as the police came and starting fining people!!
