Lunch! So it's vegetarian version of haggis, tatties and neeps, which means I'm not entirely sure what was in it but it was pretty good (still not as good as the real thing). Also some pasta and potato salad, and a ginormous scone. Last scone for the trip. =(

We were barely in this city long enough to really say we visited Edinburgh. I had meant to spend more time here, but when it came to the choice between visiting Keri in Dundee and going to Edinburgh... I picked Dundee. =) Anyway, we still had to stop here on our way back to Dublin. We took a train from Dundee to Edinburgh, and then had an hour and a half to walk around the city centre and eat lunch before catching the airport shuttle to the Edinburgh airport. So we grabbed lunch at the closest place in our guide book... which ended up being a tasty vegetarian place. I got to try a vegetarian version of haggis that was good.. but still not AS good as the REAL thing. =) I also got my last scone for the trip. =( I'm gonna miss REAL scones... we don't have real ones back home. After lunch, we had about 40min to walk around... but that was rough with our packs. It was kinda expensive just to leave our packs in the railway station for just an hour and a half, so they came with us. And they're fuller and heavier

Lunch! Chris had a vegetarian bean burger. Mmmm. And some cheesecake.
than when we started this long journey. Sooo... it didn't take long before feets and backs were achin. We did manage to see the Edinburgh castle up on the hill, and walk through a nice park with a couple random bagpipers.

After that, it was OFF to the airport for STEP 2 to getting home: flyin to Dublin. (Step 1 was take the train to Edinburgh). We were worried this past week and a half since the UK had started grounding flights due to the volcano spewin ash into the air. Apparently its a big problem... that ash. Laaaaame. BUT, we are lucky, because our first flight, at least, went off without a hitch (and hopefully the other two will go just as well). You might be thinking... why the hell are you guys flying from Edinburgh, to Dublin, BACK to London, and then all the way across to the States? Yeah, the Border Patrol was also quite interested in that answer. lol. It was cheaper. I know it doesn't make any sense... but it was cheaper by a significant amount. Around $200 each. Aaaand, that's money well saved. I don't mind the extra travel day.

Anyway, we both finished the books

Edinburgh Castle up on the hill- no time to visit!
we were reading while waiting for our flight in a cafe. We both have new books to start tomorrow... while we sit around in the airports for hours. Fun fun. We are excited to come home, though. See you guys soon!
