another quickie

so i was very bummed out yesterday about getting screwed by the temp agency. But there is no rest for the weary so i was at it again almost right away.

i went to the BUNAC office to get a pep talk and some advice. Simon was very helpful as well. After that i emailed out a couple of CVs and then handed out about 5 more. I am basically going with my biggest on paper strength-waiting tables. I have figured out that without retail experience i am not going to get any retail work (and it pays the worst anyway) and it is hard to find admin work without an agency and i can only get on with the stupid one. I did apply for one data entry job that looks good- but no word yet. I also had an interview today at a very nice wine bar/upscale restaurant that pays very well. So i am not too destitute. but anyone who wants to send cash is more than welcome!

i am significantly more skint (broke) after paying the deposit on our new flat. but it is so nice to have it all done. we pay rent on the day we move in (13 august) so we have time to save up and then on the 13 of every month- we were a little afraid we would pay half a month on the 13 and then a whole month on the 1 of sept, which would be a lot very close together.

i am doing well actually. i just want a job so that everything feels a little more routine and i can stop penny pinching so much. (btw-the word penny is short for pence and thus not a correct term for american money!)

gotta go, my internet time is about to run out!
