THE SNOW, THE SNOW OH MY GOD THE SNOW!!!!!

It is really cold here! We left Fort Augustus in the sun and it is freezing here. It was too cold to wander around outside so we found the nearest gallery and spent the afternoon there. On the way home we ventured up to the impressive necropolis and marvelled at the view from the top of the hill, then went back to our room as fast as we could!

We were ready to leave at lunch time the next day, and walked the 20 minute walk to the bus station with our packs on in a record 10 minutes, so freezing in the snow that it brought tears to our eyes, only to find our bus had been cancelled because a wind storm had hit the coast and our ferry to Ireland had been cancelled. We were lucky to get tickets for a later ferry that was DEFINATELY sailing in the evening. We put our bags in storage went to the Kelvin Grove Museum. We wanted to see a couple of things there, Dali's 'Christ of Saint John on the Cross' and the blue whale skeleton. The Dali painting was

amazing, but the blue whale skeleton was closed for renovation. Next time.
