Bagging a Munro

I took the MacBackpackers bus from Inverness to Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye and yesterday was able to bag my first Munro. For anyone who doesn't know what a munro is, it is any mountian in Scotland that is over 3000 ft. in height. I first took a bus to the Cuillin mountian ranges, which were beautiful. There are the red Cuilins, which are capped with red granit and the black Cuilins, which are capped with black granit. The scenery was amazing. I first hiked up the Marsco, a 736 m hill. Since it was such a nice day and such a great view I decided to hike across the vally and climb the Bla Bheinn, a 928 m hill which was a spectacular view since it was a rare sunny day in Scotland. Although it is usally overcast the sun is out for a long time. Heading home from the pub on Sunday night, when it closed at 11:00 pm the sun was finally just setting. This makes it hard to know what time it is, but easier to find the hostels.

Munro climbing is deffinitly worth the effort to get to the top.

Clarification
Hey: Glad you clarified the "bag the Munro" thing. I thought you caught someone (a nice looking Scotsman for me,perhaps, kilt included). Talk to you soon. - Melissa
